University of Udine

University of Udine realizes adult education courses in the context of teachers and social workers training.

The research group of DISU (Department of Human Sciences http://www.uniud.it/dipartimenti/disu ) involved in this project is multidisciplinary, committed in the following reearch fields: immigration/social minorities and territory, development of marginal areas, social pedagogy, comparative and intercultural education.

The group works with an ethnographic research approach in different projects on issues related to citizenship and participation of migrants at local level.

University of Udine role in this project was to coordinate the partnership activities. Meanwhile we assured opportunities and tools to reflect on informal learning processes in context at risk of social exclusion.

We organized three project meetings (kick off, country meeting and final meeting), a seminar and the final conference.

The NGO VICINI di CASA-onlus (http://www.vicinidicasa.org/ ), working in the field of social housing, was involved in the project.
